This home made chipotle sauce is a lighter version of regular chipotle sauce which uses greek yogurt. Greek yogurt provides a thick and creamy base to the sauce while the adobo peppers adds the heat with some smoky ness. Garlic brings out a nice flavor to the sauce while the honey adds a touch of sweetness .

This is a versatile sauce that is perfect for drizzling over salads, bowls, tacos, and wraps for a flavorful kick. This lighter version of chipotle is low in calories and fat making it a healthier option.

If you prefer a regular chipotle sauce, substitute greek yogurt with Mayonnaise/ sour cream or a mix of both.

Ingredients

  • Greek yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Chipotle peppers in ADOBO sauce 2
  • Adobo sauce 1 tsp
  • Garlic 1 clove ot 1tsp Garlic powder
  • Honey 1 tsp
  • Cumin 1/2 tsp
  • salt if required
  • lime (optional)
  • Chilli powder 1/2 tsp (optional for some extra spice)
