This home made chipotle sauce is a lighter version of regular chipotle sauce which uses greek yogurt. Greek yogurt provides a thick and creamy base to the sauce while the adobo peppers adds the heat with some smoky ness. Garlic brings out a nice flavor to the sauce while the honey adds a touch of sweetness .
This is a versatile sauce that is perfect for drizzling over salads, bowls, tacos, and wraps for a flavorful kick.This lighter version of chipotle is low in calories and fat making it a healthier option.
If you prefer a regular chipotle sauce, substitute greek yogurt with Mayonnaise/ sour cream or a mix of both.


Ingredients
- Greek yogurt 1/2 cup
- Chipotle peppers in ADOBO sauce 2
- Adobo sauce 1 tsp
- Garlic 1 clove ot 1tsp Garlic powder
- Honey 1 tsp
- Cumin 1/2 tsp
- salt if required
- lime (optional)
- Chilli powder 1/2 tsp (optional for some extra spice)
Procedure
- Combine greek yogurt, chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, garlic/ garlic powder, honey, cumin powder and lime. Blend in a food processor or a blender until smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if required according to your taste. Add more salt if required.
- Transfer the sauce into a clean dry container. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- Do not add salt before blending as the Adobo sauce already contains some salt. After blending add salt only if it is required,
